For the student with a communication disorder who does not feel comfortable a sking questions to the teacher or responding orally to questions 'on the spot,' s/he may receive a list of qu estions prior to the group meeting and prepare a response prior to the discussion. For a student with a specific learning disability in the area of written language, the student may have a follow-up worksheet which can be completed on a word processor.

Possibly utilizing voice recognition software. For the student with mental retardation who requires time and concrete application of activities, s/he may have the directions read and responses scribed by another individual or aid. A brief review of important concepts may also be needed. For the student who has a s erious behavior disorder, the teacher may wish to identify wi th the student relevant behavior and social skills to practice or generalize in the cooperative activity prior to the lesson.
