I am using using Google earth 4.2 since last two years without any problem. However i have encountered a problem since last month.

In google earth when I click on a panoramio photo icon a callout opens which has the text for the location name followed by country name - regardless how long I wait the photo preview does not load. And its true for all the photos I have tried in last one month. Double clicking the icon has the same result - a blank callout with location text only. However, when I hover over the icon a photo title do appear. Pictures were opening fine in Google Earth till a few weeks ago. I have gone through this forum and tried the suggested remedies including turning the suggested features off and clearing the caches etc but - it does not solve my problem Please suggest a solution to resolve RoarX 22.05.11 9:22.

I don't know if this fits in the same category, but I din't want to open a new thread. I have a real funny problem with some pictures of mine in Google Earth: For instance this picture: This picture is accepted for Google Earth and obviously it has been visited in GE (see statistics with the visitors in GE). I also can find the picture in Google Maps. But, when I look in GE at this position the title of my picture appears when I sweep with the cursor over it. But when I click on it, a completely different picture will be open! Not only this.

When I repeat it several time, there appears also other pictures, but obviously it's not a cluster. Funny, isn't it? David Humphreys 24.05.11 8:21. Quote Tomas K☼h☼ut: Amelia, can you make a screenshot of what you see when you click photo icon and upload this screenshot to Panoramio?

Panoramio google

(don't be affraid, this type of screenshots is OK). Is this behaviour same when you use different computer? (I hope you can aks somebody.) You are asking someone who is not very computer literate to do this Tomas? I get the neat little icons, but if I click on one of them, all it gives me is something like this: Sola,Norway I do get the photo titles if I hover over the icon though.

I will be back in Norway using a little lap top on Wednesday, and will check if the same thing happens. Tomas K☼h☼ut 04.06.11 8:37. There I'm not able to see any pictures, but get the popup when I click the icons.

I don't know how Google Earth downloads these pictures, and have not investigated this. But could it be that they don't use the proxy settings or use a non-standard port that is blocked by a firewall or some anti-virus software? Amelia Royan 04.06.11 9:31. Quote Tomas K☼h☼ut: Amelia, goheer can you specify photo that does not open? Currewntly, there are some other glitches in GE: Maybe as result of either 'fine tuning' the cluster feature, or by running some infrastructure upgrade. I have tried many regions - Europe, USA, China and other asian countries - All images have the problem I have explained in my earlier post.

I have uploaded 04 screen shots. One of the screen shot shows a 360 picture loading and opening!! Regards Goheer David Humphreys 05.06.11 6:35. Quote Tomas K☼h☼ut: I tried to find the answer in GE forum - without success. I am almost sure this bug depends on your computer/network setting, but I cannot tell you what has to be changed. I will try to get attention of admins for this problem. Information about your operating system and perhaps internet browser could help too.

Google Earth Panoramio Not Working

I appreciate the suggestions by all members!! 3D buidings is already turned off I have turned off the 360 cities layers but no positive outcome Just to apprise all - my internet service provider, internet & network settings, operating system & its settings and the GE version & its settings - There's no change since last two years - panoramio pictures were opening fine till third week of April - this problem is since last week of April with apparently all other settings of my computer unchanged and all other software and internet functions working without any problems!!! Amelia Royan 08.06.11 12:30.

I have found something interesting!!! This is a screen shot of 'google earths community' icon which has a panoramio picture tagged in it and when I click it - the panoramio picture opens perfectly well through google earth community icon!! And when I click a panoramio icon on the same screen - does not show picture!! Just an empty baloon with location!!

If the panoramio pictures opens through other icons and 360 Cities and Giga pictures open well - why doesn't Panoramio pictures open through their own icon!! Can some one explain??? Lianat 20.06.11 21:21. The GEC placemark appears to be a copy of a Panoramio placemark from when Panoramio photos were first added as a GE layer. (It was posted to in March 2007.) If you were to save the placemark to My Places, then right-click open Properties, you'll see that the photo in the placemark is linked directly to its.

The

I assume that's why there's no problem or delay in viewing the photo. Now the process by which a photo appears in a panoramio balloon is more complicated: a different database, use of scripts etc. Still in the dark as to current delays. PeymanPakzad 30.06.11 6:30.

I FIXED MINE!! First I uninstalled GE using Programs and Features in Vista. Then I clicked on my desktop Icon that was still there and GE opened ( and still did not load Panoramio pics). Come on, I just deleted it?

I went back to Programs and it was no longer on the list of installed software. Then In GE I clicked on Help, About Google Earth, and read the version number was still 4.xx. Turns out no matter how many times I loaded GE 6.xx I was still running 4.xx.

It was residing on my E: drive, and I was installing 6.xx on my C: drive. No Matter what I was always running the old version. I could not use the GE 4.xx unistall as it was pointing in all the wrong places so I sent the whole folder to the recycle bin. Now with ALL GE files erased from ALL drives, I downloaded the latest and all Panoramio pictures now appear. All good here! When you open GE check what version is running in Help.

If it is not the latest follow the above steps. ( not a Java problem, I almost started ripping it down also,) If you right click on your GE desktop icon and check 'Properties' you can see where your version resides on disk. Lianat 07.07.11 0:38. H'mmmm, I guess I should actually check to see if I can find MY photos on GE. Once loaded and accepted, I just check once in a while in Panoramio to see if anyone has viewed them. Never thought to look at GE for my own photos when I've got them right here on Panoramio. Gone to do some checking.

OK, it looks good for me. I'm on a Mac but I also tried using a couple of PC's with XP on them. No problems that I can detect.of course I haven't checked all of them yet. A couple of them moved a little though.

Not bad.I'll just reposition them. Tomas K☼h☼ut 25.07.11 15:31.

I'm using version 7.1.1.1580 at work, and either the same or newer at home, and this happens on both computers. I can click on the Photos (which use Panoramio) for a while, then eventually it will stop displaying the photos. Where the photo should be is just text, usually with the area name(county, country, etc.),and that's it. I have to close and re-open Google Earth for it to start working again.

This problem has been going on for over a year for me, and even with several new installs/upgrades, it keeps happening. I'm surprised this is the only place I've found this problem mentioned. Does anyone have any other ideas to help fix it? On Sunday, May 22, 2011 10:06:46 AM UTC-6, Mansoor Goheer wrote: I am using using Google earth 4.2 since last two years without any problem. Google Earth Panoramio Not Loading

I've never had this problem until the 6.1.0.5001 update rolled out a little while ago, and now any image I click on in Earth takes forever (ok so not forever, but literally over 5 minutes) to load, if it even does load. Most often the image popup never does actually populate with an image.

This happens on both my Win7 Pro x64 work PC as well as my Win7 Ult x64 home PC. I've tried the resolutions herein, with no love. Does anyone have an idea of what might be happening, and is anyone else experiencing this issue since the 6.1.0.5001 update? Nchyo 06.12.11 14:21. Hello, may be a problem with DNS. In previous versions I've solved using DNS or OpenDNS GoogleDNS has worked 10 times better than the DNS of my ISP.

I recently installed Google Earth version 6.1.0.5001 and delayed balloon Panoramio load after clicking on a picture box. Then the balloon expands and loads a gray box the size of the image, but with an hourglass in the center. Achieved after 40 seconds to load the image. This same behavior does not occur with the images of 360Cities. I've tried changing again but no DNS such as OpenDNS. Configurations disabling certain layers and leaving only the Panoramio. OpenGL or DirectX, nothing seems to solve the problem.

Google Earth Panoramio Not Showing

I guess we'd better go back one version back. Molotok 11.12.11 13:59. Glad to hear I'm not the only one having this issue. I can say that v6.1.0.5001 installed on a newly installed machine works flawlessly. As in the first time Earth (any version) was installed on the machine. But the upgraded version has all kinds of problems with exactly what you describe nchyo.

Panoramio behaves exactly the way you describe. So maybe if there is a way to uninstall Earth completely, leaving no traces left in the file system and registry that Earth was ever installed, and then perform a fresh install it might fix the issue? JasonM1 (GE TC) 12.12.11 7:57.
